Choosing an Out & About mood

Out & About uses its own set of moods, built specifically for a single local or in-trip experience rather than a whole destination: Eat & Drink, Adventure, On the Water, Shows & Entertainment, Games & Sports, Explore, Family Fun, Date Night, and Chill — plus Surprise Me, if you'd rather Hiateus choose freely from what's available.

Shows & Entertainment covers theater, musicals, touring productions, performing arts, concerts, comedy, and movies — a single show can genuinely fit more than one mood at once (a touring musical, for example, is both Shows & Entertainment and a great Date Night pick), and Hiateus's matching reflects that rather than forcing every experience into exactly one bucket.

This is deliberately a different, separate list from the travel vibes (Beach, Food, Nightlife, and so on) you use elsewhere in Hiateus to find a destination. If you've saved a favorite travel vibe on your Profile, it can very lightly nudge an Out & About result your way when it's genuinely relevant — but it never chooses your mood for you, and it's never treated as a strong preference here the way it is for a destination search.
