Exact dates vs. flexible dates
Give Hiateus a specific departure and return, or a general window.
By default, Hiateus works with a flexible window (trip length and a rough timeframe), which gives the recommendation engine more room to find good fares and weather.
Turn on "Use exact dates" if you already know exactly when you're leaving and returning — Hiateus will price and check availability against those specific days instead of a range.
