An honest look at what's real and what's simulated in Hiateus today.
Hiateus is in active development, and we want to be upfront about what's real right now: flight fares come from a developer test environment (Duffel Developer Test Mode) — realistic in shape, but not real purchasable prices. Hotel pricing is modeled, not from a live inventory provider. Weather data is real and live.
Booking a trip today goes through a real booking flow end-to-end, but in demo/test mode — no payment is charged and no real reservation is made with any airline or hotel. See How booking works today for details.
