Understanding experience information
Today's Out & About experiences are modeled Hiateus examples, not live, bookable listings.
Out & About currently runs on a small, deliberately curated set of experiences Hiateus put together to show how the feature works — not a live inventory from a real booking provider. Every experience you see is clearly labeled as a modeled example.
"When" options like Tonight or Right Now reflect what you're in the mood for, not confirmed real-time availability — Hiateus doesn't yet know whether any specific experience actually has open tickets, seats, or a table at a given time.
Photos are representative, topically relevant stock photography — not authorized photography of the exact venue, event, or operator, since no real experience provider is connected yet. We'll clearly label a photo as coming from the actual provider once one is.
Behind the scenes, Hiateus can label an experience one of four ways: Modeled (Hiateus's own curated example, what you see today), Live (a real, current listing from a connected provider), Test (a provider's practice/sandbox environment, not real inventory), or Cached (a real result Hiateus is briefly reusing rather than re-fetching every second). Whichever it is, we'll always tell you honestly — never dress up modeled or test content as live.
We'll clearly update this once a real, live experience provider is connected.
